1.Do not disassemble HP battery Pavilion DV5-1000, as this could cause leakage of alkaline solution or other electrolytic substance.
2.Keep the battery HP Pavilion DV5-1000 away from heat or fire, if you detect the issuance of an extraordinary odor or leakage of alkaline solution or other electrolytic substance, please dispose used batteries in accordance with the regulations that apply to the disposal.
3.Clean your Pavilion DV5-1000 battery metal contacts every couple of months with a cloth moistened with rubbing alcohol. This keeps the transfer of power from your battery more efficient.
